FlowFriend Pumps

FlowFriend Pumps

FlowFriend pumps are at the fore front in the field of pumping water for the minimum amount of energy allowing huge cost savings over the lifespan of the water pump.

At the heart of the range of FlowFriend pumps are permeant magnet motors ensuring they are incredibly efficient throughout the RPM range. The motor speed can be adjusted as standard on all FlowFriend pumps allowing for variable flow rates.

The FlowFriend’s hydraulics are entirely made of cast 316 stainless steel. Robust, smooth and a perfect shape to keep internal losses to a minimum.

The hydraulics of a pump are made up from the rotor, the inlet and outlet housing. Each FlowFriend pump in the range has specifically designed hydraulics to meet the demands of specific applications ensuring maximum water flow for minimum energy consumption.

The range consists of four pump models which have all been designed to meet the demands of specific applications.

All FlowFriend pumps are designed to be dry installed.

The Junior FlowFriend can be installed outside and is weatherproof.

The most important difference in the construction of the Junior pump compared to the rest of the FlowFriend range is that the motor and the control electronics are separated from each other.

The motor complies with IP class 67 because the pump does not need a cooling fan. The electronics can be installed in an easily accessible place and can be controlled remotely in a number of ways. The control cabinet, pump and cable are fully EMC-shielded.

The extremely efficient design of the pump has been retained. This means that hydraulic, motor and control electronics losses are all minimised ensuring maximum energy efficiency possible.

The maximum efficiency of the hydraulics at full load is above 85%, that of the motor above 94% and for the control above 98%.

The hydraulics in the Junior are, just like in the other FlowFriend pumps, made of 316 stainless steel and of the mixed-flow type. This means a pump head of up to 7 metres and a flow adjustable up to 40 m3/h (8800 UK gallons).

The FlowFriend Junior has 2.5” inlet and outlet screw male thread connections.

  • FlowFriend Standard

    £1,645.00

The standard FlowFriend has a mixed- ow pump housing, a type that is also often used at pumping stations. Its optimal field of application is for a pump lift of between 1 and 5 metres. The hydraulics have been designed such that greater pressure is available than with an axial (propeller) pump. As a result, significantly less energy is used in comparison to pumps of similar capacity. Almost all pumps with high capacity have more than 10 metres of pressure. This high available pressure uses a great deal of energy. If there is higher back pressure to any extent, resulting for example from longer hose lengths, numerous bends and difference in height, then this ‘standard’ FlowFriend is the optimal choice.

The FlowFriend has 3” inlet and outlet screw male thread connections.

Utopia Koi has used FlowFriend Standard pumps in-house for in excess of 6 years and believe them to be a truly amazing piece of equipment.

  • FlowFriend HP

    £1,895.00

The FlowFriend HP has a been specifically designed for applications that require energy efficient high pressure, high flow rates such as pressure filters, large waterfalls or long pipe runs with an increase in head hight. As a result, significantly less energy is used in comparison to pumps of a similar capacity.

Almost all pumps available with high pressure capabilities are very uneconomical to use. The FlowFriend HP is a significant step forwards allowing economical use coupled with a maximum 14 meter head hight and a maximum flow rate or 47,000 Litres per hour which represents significant water flow capabilities.

  • FlowFriend Pro

    £1,895.00

The FlowFriend Pro has a been specifically designed for applications that require energy efficient super high flow rates such as large waterfalls or ponds.

The FlowFriend Pro has a slightly odd looking inlet hydraulic design but the end result is a true amazing piece of equipment. The FlowFriend pump is capable of pumping 120,000 litres or 26,400 imperial gallons of water per hour for only 750 watts which is quite incredible.

As a result, significantly less energy is used in comparison to pumps of a similar capacity.

Pond liner calculator

Use our simple Pond Liner Calculator to estimate the liner and/or underlay size required for your pond.

The result allows for an overlay either side of 30cms. You may wnat to increase or decrease this value depending on your pnd installation.

If you're not sure on what size you need then contact us and we can help.

Measurements are entered in meters. As an example if your pond is 254cm deep at its deepest enter 2.54.

The liner dimensions for your pond including a 30cm over lap are:
