Impermax Aqua is a superb liquid rubber pond liner which is quickly and easily painted on to a suitable surface to form a water tight liner.
The product is based on polyurethane (drinking water approved according to EEC directive 98/83/CE) and provides a smooth, seamless membrane ushering in a new era of pond lining.
The liquid pond liner is applied with two coats either by brush or roller to create a seamless, strong durable finish and is available in a range of colours to suite most applications.
The finished membrane creates a thick strong liner in excess of 1.4-1.9mm which almost twice the thickness of conventional liners.
Impermax can be applied to many different kinds of surfaces such as concrete, mortar, ceramics, fibreglass reinforced polyester to form a durable water tight liner without the need to cut, fold and join which has always been the case when traditional sheet liners are used.
The minimum curing time for Impermax durning the summer months is 4-6 hours and we recommend that a minimum of 3 layers are applied to obtain a membrane thickness of 1.5 mm plus. As a general guide 2Kg of Impermax is required per m2
We strongly recommend that Impermax Humidity Primer is used as a base coat prior to the first coat of impermax liquid pond liner.
Impermax Humidity primer is applied in a single coat to lock any moisture providing a clean dry surface for the first application of Impermax Liquid Pond Liner. Failure to apply Impermax Humidity Primer to a damp surface could result in lack of adhesion.
Impermax Pond Liner can be applied to celotex insulation or similar but Impermax PU Primer must be used. PU Primer adheres to the non porous surface providing a sufficient key for Impermax pond liner to adhere.
A shorter cure time is available with the addition of Pur Cat Additive which is added at a rate of 1kg to 25Kg of Impermax Liquid Pond Liner allowing applications in lower temperatures down to 5 degrees.
Please Note Impermax Liquid Pond Liner is now supplied with a thixotropic additive included allowing the liquid liner to be applied to steep or vertical surfaces without adding the previously used thixotropic additive making the current specification even better value for money.
