Multi Chamber Filters

Multi Chamber Filters have the space to hold various filter media. Filter media types can be mixed and matched to perform multi stage filtration with large volumes of water and allow for lengthy water dwell time within the filter. In general a long water dwell time is desirable and relates to the amount of time water remains within the filter being treated and purified prior to the water being returned to the pond.

Large well stocked ponds, especially with Koi need sufficient filtration to ensure that the water is cleansed of fish waste, debris and contaminants creating a healthy aquatic environment.

Multi Chamber Filters are seen by some as old fashioned however we are of the firm belief that they offer a high level of filtration and although maintenance can be more involved they offer the ability to attain very high water quality at a very reasonable cost.

  • Kockney Koi 4000 Multi Chamber Filter

    The Kockney Koi KF4000 is an excellent filtration system for Koi ponds up to 4000 litres.

    The chambers are packed with filter media including brushes to remove larger particles of waste, Japanese matting to remove even smaller pieces and filter wadding and Flocor to provide biological filtration too. The large surface area of Flocor media is perfect for the production of healthy bacteria that consumes nitrates and other unwanted elements.

    Please note this filter is Pump fed Only.

    The 5000V is a high quality, free-standing, fibreglass, four bay filter with an integral vortex designed to improve your fish’s environment.

    The unit is suitable for fish ponds of up to 5000 litres and a maximum flow rate of 3000 litres per hour. The filter is supplied with the filtration media.

    The vortex system spins the water into a whirlpool as it enters the filter. Large pieces of waste are dropped out of suspension and accumulate on the floor of the vortex chamber where they can easluhy be flushed to waste during a maintenance clean prior to the water entering the other chambers of the filter system.
